Wanted to give our playhouse a little bit of a custom look for the girls. They absolutely LOVED the final product!

Here is how I did it...

  1. Prep surface, wash and remove all dirt and debris from surface. Also make sure to remove and stickers salvaging the ones you will re-use.

  2. Apply Rustoleum 2x Ultra Cover Paint & Primer Spray Paint in color of choice. For this particular project I ultimately chose Charcoal Gray (roof) & Smokey Beige (door and door bell). Allow 20 minutes in between coats for dry, full dry time is 24 hours. ⭐️ Rust-Oleum, Spray Paint in Satin Granite ⭐️ ⭐️ Rust-Oleum, Spray Paint in Smokey Beige ⭐️ ⭐️ Rust-Oleum, Spray Paint in Charcoal Gray ⭐️

  3. White wash grout line with Krylon White-Wash Farmhouse inspired paint. Apply with small paint brush. ⭐️ Krylon White Wash Farmhouse Paint ⭐️

  4. Apply top coat, I personally loved the way the Rustoleum matte clean enamel worked. Apply same as spray paint (20 minutes for dry time). ⭐️ Rust-Oleum, Stops Rust Spray Paint in Matte Clear ⭐️

  5. Reassemble pieces as needed.

  6. Install all hardware. Numbering or lettering whatever you prefer a door knob (this was my favorite touch!), you can even add a little plant hook for an extra touch. ⭐️ Hardware | Number 2 ⭐️ ⭐️ Hardware | Teal Farmhouse Knob ⭐️ ⭐️ 2" Long Screws ⭐️

  7. Add floral and greenery, I picked up all of mine at the dollar tree and held it in place with a green foam block. You can also add lighting for an additional touch if you have an outlet or battery operated lights.
